As per the recommendations made by honorable Supreme Court, U.G.C and Government of India, a session on “Curbing the Menace of Ragging” for students of First year, School of Technology was held on 26th October 2018 at Sanjay Ghodawat University. Advocate Amit Mahadeshwar, Assist. Government Pleader & Additional Public Prosecutor, District & Sessions Court, Kolhapur & Pravin Advocate Pravin Deshpande, District Standing Counsel, Kolhapur were invited as speakers for the session.
Talking at the session, they highlighted various laws, rules and regulations enforced by Supreme Court, U.G.C & State government to curb ragging in the educational institutes. More than 100 students as well as first year staff attended the session.
