About the School of Allied Health Sciences
The Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) was established as state private university under Government of Maharashtra Act No. XL of 2017 in the academic year 2017-18. The university has been approved by University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Maharashtra government. In a short span of time, SGU has established its credentials and reputation as one of the leading private University in the country.
The global challenges in the health sciences have increased the demand of trained professionals many fold despite the technological developments. Keeping this scenario in mind, the Sanjay Ghodawat University established the School of Allied Health Sciences in the year 2022 with the beginning of three undergraduate academic programs in Food Science & Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology and Optometry. SGU offers full time B. Sc. program in Food Science & Technology and Medical Laboratory technology. These courses provide implementation of value-based knowledge and information to inculcate creativity amongst students for their bright career and future prospective.
At SGU, the State of the Art infrastructural facilities and laboratories provide students a conducing and inspiring environment. The highly experienced and qualified academic staffs are committed to deliver best practices in teaching and cutting-edge research. The programs of allied health sciences are designed in such a way that provides excellent academic standards with the industry-based curriculum to meet expectations of emerging needs around the world. The university provides exposure to the industrial environment through industrial visits, industry-academia interactions an organizing industry expert sessions. The skill development program with hands on training and industrial/hospital visit during academic program enhance student personality and knowledge to increase many fold the placement and job opportunities.
The university caters students with advanced technical knowledge and skills to tackle technological and societal challenges in diversified areas. To enhance competency at national and international level, university also creates awareness and supports students for competitive exams like GRE, TOEFEL, IELTS etc.
