SGU School of Pharmaceutical sciences started a Ph. D. Centre in June 2019 for developing excellent research facilities for the benefit of the students and faculty. Institute core strength lies in ability to excel in developing Research& Development center with innovative technology and research facilities.

Our renowned research guides are expertise in the clinical and preclinical evaluation of herbal and medicinal formulations in various diseases like cancer, diabetes, CNS disorders etc. The research work on nano particulates, spray-drying, drug-layering, nano-milling, lyophilisation and other pharmaceutical unit operations that enable institute to cater to various formulation design needs and concepts. The ability to develop difficult-to-make, low cost, complex formulations by using the latest technologies is the key differentiating factor of our targeted research.The knowledge in pharmaceutical research allows a rapid ramp-up of a diverse range of formulations in preclinical and clinical studies, immediate and Novel Delivery Systems spanning Oral, Parenteral, Topical and Inhalation Dosage Forms.

We are strengthening our research scholars to involve in various research operations including the inter institute research programmes, paper and poster presentation at national and international level, participation in various global research competitions. We are empowering our research scholars to operate various advanced pharmaceutical technologies and softwareto frame and generate international level research data. Our research scholars work closely with committed research guide team to generate innovative concepts and ideas, exploring both market needs and synergies across therapeutic areas.

Our research strategy and implementation are well supported by a strong intellectual property team having expertise and experience in chemistry, analytical techniques, dosage forms and global patent law.
