About Cell
SGU has formed a Seminar, Workshop, and Conference cell to cater to the programs for one-on-one engagements, group outings, and events for social interaction, and to promote the recent development. The cell's primary aim is to identify and promote the topic of interest, recent developments, promotion, and dissemination of emerging areas. The learning facet of a conference can expose attendees to new ways of operating and can help them discover ways to be even more productive.
Objectives
- To create space for the presentation of current results of scientific, academic, and research work.
- To impart some skills or knowledge to the participants.
- To engage participants in the discussion of an academic subject or the topic of interest for the aim of gaining a better insight into the subject.
- To demonstrate and encourage the students, faculty, and staff for the practice of actual methods.
- To train the Inductee Teachers and to improve the expertise of the teachers/faculty.
- To support the research atmosphere among the faculty.
- To generate funds and utilize that fund for the training of the faculty from in-house and from outside.
- To create awareness of the latest and emerging technologies.
- To showcase the strength of institute/university to the outside world.
- To have value addition and support for the process of NBA/NAAC/NIRF and other quality indexes.
- Through the workshops/faculty development program and webinars teach hands-on skills because it offers participants a chance to try out new methods and also encouraging them to use emerging areas for finding solutions to the problems.
- o To provide a comprehensive single-window reference system for all the members (faculty/staff/students) relating to organizing the seminars, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs at the University.
